One of our recent big projects was this Range Rover L322 4.2 Supercharged V8.

Stock power is 395bhp and 413lb ft.

We started by giving the vehicle a Terraclean, to remove all carbon biuld up in the engine.  This alone improved pickup and responsiveness.

 

Next we supplied and fitted a 10% pulley reduction, this is not a 5 minute job.

Air con system needs to be discharged, along with coolant drained, removal of coolant pipes, the list can go on.

 

We require car for at least two days now to fully comlete work.

Gains should be in region of 460bhp and over 500lb ft torque.

VW Sharan, 2.0 Tdi 140, in for a Terraclean and custom stage 1 map, still leaving EGR and DPF active.

141bhp and 205 lb ft standard.

 

Custom tune:

184.5bhp and 277lb ft.

We had a lovely Mini Cooper S F56 in for a remap recently, although no slouch in standard tune, customer wanted a little more.

In standard guise, it produces 189bhp and 206lb ft.

The ECU needed to be remove from vehicle to be tuned.

We wrote a stage 1 map, which should produce 284bhp and 293lb ft.

 

Really transforming this car into a true pocket rocket.

Customer was extremely greatful!!

With Brexit negotiations now under way, the most noticable difference to us so far here at Tuning Emporium, is the increase in courier costs.

Despite fuel costs falling, courier costs have risen.  The two best and cheapest couriers we will continue to use for items above 2kg will be UPS and TNT.

We’ve recently tuned a great Audi A6 3.0 tdi 233bhp complete with an EGR delete.

Given it had done over 100k, the EGR valve was quite blocked, and would eventually fail, as they all do.

We set about writing a bespoke tune, and we should have achived 275bhp and close to 400lb ft after the tune.

Results so far a reduction in a 0 to 60 time by 1.5 seconds.

We were recently asked to tune a Mercedes E350 cdi, 268bhp, 2011 MY.

Initially we were going to tune the ECU on this, but as the customer has a service plan with Mercedes, there is every chance an update could wipe the map off and as the process involves the removal of ECU from the car and tuned on the bench,

a tuning box was order of the day, as although the car isn’t under warranty, it can still receive software updates with tuning box in place, but can be easily removed if need be.
