In recent times most manufacturers have released cars and vans on sale with the same engine, ecu, componets etc… but with different BHP outputs to meet the environmental legislation.
So with a bit of advice from us here at Tuning Emporium we can show you how to buy the right spec of vehicle and save you money.
Take as an example the Mazda 6 Skyactive, with 150bhp 2.2 turbo diesel engine. It has the same Engine ecu as the more powerful 175bhp, but is simply de tuned from factory.
Power gains for both engines are rated to 210bhp and 480NM after our remap. Yet the 150bhp is cheaper to buy in the first place and customers purchasing this engine have more to gain for their purchase of a remap. Cost of tuning either 150bhp or 175bhp puts are exactly the same.
